the editor that listens.
Play it in or upload it. tab gets the guitar on its own, shows you candidates on the fretboard with a confidence for each, and you correct it bar by bar. Then export to Guitar Pro or MusicXML. You still decide what is right.
how a song gets tabbed here
Upload it, or play it in.
A file from your drive, or your own guitar through an audio interface, straight into an empty tab. tab proposes tuning and tempo and tells you how sure it is about both.
Hear the guitar alone.
The guitar comes out of the mix so you can loop a bar without the vocals and bass in the way. This runs on our GPU and takes a few minutes; you see the progress.
Pick from candidates.
Attack by attack: suggestions with a confidence, the measured pitch, a fretboard in your hand position. Take it, or overrule it in one click. Rhythm and lead mode for different passages.
Take it with you.
Guitar Pro 5 or MusicXML. Your file, on your drive. Guitar Pro files also come in, so an existing tab can be the starting point. We keep no archive and share nothing.
we do not promise the perfect tab. nobody can.
Timing, how a string is hit, legato, feel, effects and distortion do not reduce to "the correct note". A tool that claims a finished, correct tab is guessing and hiding it. tab shows you the guess and how sure it is, so you spend your time where it matters. A suggestion may be wrong. You can throw it away in a second, and you know where to listen closer.
drop tunings, power chords, distortion.
Down to C standard and drop C, with a dedicated power-chord path. That is exactly where the one-click services fall apart, and exactly where the songs live that nobody has tabbed: doom, stoner, psych, sludge, and every regional scene with great riffs and no tab community.
- A transcription editor with audio next to the notation: loop, tempo, original against playback.
- Candidates per attack with confidence and measured pitch, power chord or single note.
- Guitar isolation for songs from a mix, or your own dry recording for the parts you can play.
- Guitar Pro 5 in and out, MusicXML out. Guitar Pro stays your notation program; tab feeds it.
- Not a one-click transcription. Every note on the page went past you first.
- Not a notation program. No multi-track, no engraving, no printing yet. That is what the export is for.
- Not a tab archive. There is no library, no sharing, no community database on our side.
- Not a promise about techniques. Bends, slides and hammer-ons are hints at best.
